Jim Mitsch, better known as "JR", worked in his family's dairy business until 1990 when he decided to pursue his interests of woodworking at a local shop.  Approximately one year later, JR opened his own custom cabinet business, JR's Custom Cabinets, in the basement of his home in Lowell, Indiana.  A year and a half later he built a shop on the property, which consists of 200 acres of farmland.

    From a one man shop in a basement to a 20 employee operation in an 8,000 square foot facility, JR still believes that customer service is and always will be the key element that keeps his business successful.  While JR no longer is in the dairy business, you will still catch him on his John Deere® in the fields farming his corn and beans.
